Description: 

Provides instruction to the Skill Performance Evaluation Certification Specialist on how to prepare, administer, and score the Skill Performance Evaluation (SPE) under the Driver Waiver Program. Also, this course will cover how to prepare the narrative portion of the analysis Matrix and includes vehicle evaluation of handicapped driver vehicle operations.

State and FMCSA employees responsible for conducting driver waivers or monitoring the driver waiver program in their state.

Prerequisites for Attendance: 
Conducting/monitoring driver waiver program in their state (state/FMCSA employee). Host agencies shall provide students with (or require students to bring) the most current version of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Objective: 
Upon completion of the course, participants will have an understanding of how to prepare, administer, and score the SPE portion of the driver waiver evaluation process.
