This course is designed to provide new Federal Academy safety investigators with the basic knowledge, skills, practices, and procedures necessary for performing compliance investigations. Referred to as BIT, the course will focus on understanding federal regulations and applying them during a compliance investigation.

Prerequisites for Attendance: 
Student will be required to have sucessfully completed NAS Part A, NAS Part B and General Hazardous Materials.
Objective: 
This course will instruct participants how to conduct a complete a compliance investigation in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and CSA policy, incorporating knowledge that was obtained during the NAS A, NAS B and General Hazardous Materials course. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to perform a thorough examination of a motor carrier records.
