    Description

    This course teaches participants how to conduct a detailed cargo tank facility review and a comprehensive investigation according to the regulations through visual inspection, tests, and gathering evidence.

    Objective

    Upon completion of course, student will be able to successfully conduct and document a Cargo Tank Facility Review. They will be able to identify all types of cargo tanks and their components and understand how to conduct a comprehensive review of a cargo tank facility, including evaluating the type and quality of repairs, checking records, gathering and recording evidence during an investigation, and preparing for enforcement remedies.

    Target Audience

    Safety investigators employed by the federal government and certified to conduct investigations

    Prerequisites for Attendance

    Certificate of completion for the NTC Cargo Tank Facility Review (CTFR) Online course. Successful completion of NAS-A, NAS-B, General Hazardous Materials, Cargo Tank Inspection, Investigative Safety Analysis, and Enforcement Procedures-Investigation, or successful completion of Safety Investigator Academy, Cargo Tank Inspection, and Enforcement Procedures – Investigative. Must have current certifications for:  Compliance Investigation, Level I Roadside Inspection, and Cargo Tank Inspection.
