    Description

    This course provides instruction on the Part 180 re-qualification and maintenance requirements and what investigators should be looking for when they are doing a review of a cargo tank re-qualification and maintenance facility. The curriculum will include registration requirements, testing equipment, records keeping, and inspection and testing procedures.

    Objective

    Upon successful completion of course, student will be able to successfully conduct and document a Cargo Tank Facility Review.

    Target Audience

    Safety investigators or inspectors employed by the federal government.

    Prerequisites for Attendance

    Successful completion of NAS-A, NAS-B, General Hazardous Materials, Cargo Tank Inspection, Investigative Safety Analysis, and Enforcement Procedures-Investigation, or successful completion of Safety Investigator Academy, Cargo Tank Inspection, and Enforcement Procedures – Investigative.

    Must have current certifications for:  Compliance Investigation, Level I Roadside Inspection, and Cargo Tank Inspection. 

    NOTE:  This is an interactive course requiring students to have a laptop installed with the most current version of CAPRI, eFOTM, and CaseRite. 

    Post Requirements

    Upon successful completion of this course, a student must be scheduled to complete 1 to 2 Cargo Tank Facility Reviews under the guidance of an HMPS or HMS.
