IDP 101
DescriptionThis course utilizes both classroom instruction and interactive practice sessions to teach new instructors how to deliver high-quality training. Participants will learn a range of effective teaching strategies and class management techniques for optimum learning and engagement. The curriculum developed by FMCSA's National Training Center (NTC) is based on the most up-to-date research, proven techniques, and approved methodologies, and ensures a uniform level of exceptional course delivery throughout the Agency.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be ready to teach an FMCSA course successfully to federal employees in a classroom setting.
NTC Instructor Development Program (IDP) candidates seeking FMCSA/NTC instructor certification
NTC Instructor Orientation (IDP 001)
Instructor candidates must demonstrate their knowledge in each course they wish to teach by passing that course's qualification exam, then passing a field evaluation by a master instructor.
