    Description

    The course provides a basic foundation to understand and practice professional coaching of a new Safety Investigator.  The class provides skills necessary for a coach to effectively guide a new Safety investigator through their first year with FMCSA. 

    Objective

    • To enhance coach facilitation skills which ensures that new Safety Investigators have a basic comprehension of regulations and investigation techniques.
    • To assist the trainee in applying the knowledge learned at the FMCSA academy.
    • To support the trainee in developing investigative skills.
    • To facilitate pre-academy and post-academy on-the-job training (OJT).

    Target Audience

    A certified Safety Investigator designated as a coach or anyone having the approval of a Division Administrator.
